Authors are asked to return page proofs promptly so articles can be published online as soon as they are ready.
Our Editorial Policies set transparent expectations for every stage of research communication. They cover ethical oversight, authorship and contributorship, conflicts of interest and funding transparency, duplicate submission, corrections, retractions, post-publication dialogue, and more. These policies reflect widely recognized standards—including the Declaration of Helsinki for human research, ARRIVE for animal research reporting, COPE core practices for publication ethics, and ICMJE guidance on data sharing statements. We also require registration for applicable clinical and human studies and clear data availability statements, supporting reproducibility and reader trust.

We conduct citation checks using Crossref tools and use AI-assisted verification to flag potential problems such as references to retracted literature, metadata mismatches, or unclear citation relevance. Our workflow includes dedicated screening for paper-mill activity and image integrity (duplication, manipulation, and AI-generated imagery), helping editors and reviewers focus on scientific merit while minimising undisclosed risks.

Authors retain copyright, and accepted articles are published under a CC BY licence, enabling reuse with proper attribution.
